Katy joined DMG Advocates as an articling student in August 2025, after graduating from Western University’s Faculty of Law in June. She holds Western’s unique Intellectual Property, Information and Technology Law designation, reflecting her strong interest in IP law. While at Western, Katy was actively involved in the law school community through her work with Pro Bono Students Canada and the Western Law Social Committee.

Prior to law school, Katy earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from McGill University, focusing on modern American and Canadian histories.

Katy spent her 2L summer at DMG Advocates, where she developed a deeper passion for advocacy and client service. Her summer experience exposed her to a wide range of legal issues and provided valuable learning opportunities, which she looks forward to building on throughout her articling term. Katy’s strengths are her work ethic, communication skills, and collaborative spirit.

Outside of work, Katy enjoys cooking, reading, spending time with friends, and exploring new restaurants
